Christmas time is near and each and every year we need to find our cookie cutters for making those unique shaped cookies for our family and friends.
I myself have cookie cutters that have been passed down through 4 generations... These precious cookie cutters came from the County Cork in Ireland in 1878 and arrived on a boat landing on Ferris Island in New York.
A complete bakers dozen, these thirteen cookie cutters have become a family heirloom as far as we are concerned... the magic that they make during the holidays keeps memories alive and thoughts of our loved ones.
I remember as a child with my mother cutting out the sheets of dough, sprinkling colored sugar and adding silver balls and other cookie toppings.
I even remeber the little red hot balls my Dad use to love so much... Mom had a hard time keeping his fingers away from them!
The thirteen shapes include two stars, 1 crescent moon, 1 Santa Claus, 1 Rheindeer, 2 Bells, 1 Star of David, 1 Candle, 1 Cross, 1 Christamas Tree, 1 Candy Cane, and one bell.
Share the fun of Christmas time with your family and bake Christmas Cookies.... Its fun and delicious!
